DiscLab Privacy Policy

DiscLab analyzes your throws on your phone. What leaves your phone depends on whether you sign in and subscribe, and this page spells that out. The app links here before you agree to anything.

What we collect, and when

If you join the pre-release list, we store your email address to send beta invitations, early-feedback requests, the DiscLab launch notice, and your launch deal. You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you just use the app without signing in, your throws, results, and videos stay on your phone.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the user ID and the email address and name the provider shares, so your account works across devices. Your throw records (speeds, results, session data) sync to our servers so your history follows your account.

If you subscribe to DiscLab Pro, your throw clips upload to your account so you can review them in the web dashboard. Clip upload is part of what Pro is; you can see and delete your clips, and deleting your account removes them.

If you subscribe, we also store the purchase records from Google Play or the App Store so we can verify the subscription and keep Pro active on your account. We never see your payment details.

Like every website and online service, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, requests) to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.

Improving DiscLab

We use uploaded clips and synced throw records to tune throw detection and improve analysis accuracy. This work stays inside DiscLab and serves the same feature your data came from.

You can turn this off any time with the "Help improve DiscLab" toggle in the app's settings. Opting out stops your data from being used for tuning and does not affect your subscription or any feature.

We may also review uploaded clips to remove unsuitable content, keep the service working, and investigate problems you report.

Website analytics and cookies

The public website does not use analytics, preference, or marketing cookies and does not load a third-party analytics service.

We keep first-party aggregate counts by UTC day: public page path, normalized campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign), external referring hostname, launch signup, and simulator-share action. These counters do not contain an IP address, user agent, visitor or session identifier, or any value that links activity across requests.

Campaign counts are not attached to the email address submitted through the launch form. We use the aggregate numbers only to understand which pages and campaigns are useful.

The owner-only backoffice uses a strictly necessary sign-in session cookie. It is not used on the public website or for analytics.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data and we don't run third-party ads. We share data with Google and Apple only as needed for sign-in and purchase verification.

Your clips are yours. We never publish, share, or use them for marketing — if we ever offer sharing, it will be opt-in and asked for separately in the app.

Deletion

You can delete your account in the app, or by emailing support@disclab.eu from the account's email address. Deletion removes your synced records and uploaded clips; purchase records may be kept where the stores or the law require it.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — do that in Google Play or the App Store.
